Managed the development and implementation of a web-based application to permit Canadian securities dealers and advisors to file registration forms electronically to the provincial regulators

Application Design and Development

Managed a re-engineering project to improve financial budgeting and reporting for a major bank. A mainframe-based process was replaced by a client/server solution which allowed business units from around the globe online access to review and input financial data. Managed business intelligence end user access tools in support of a major bank’s retail marketing data warehouse. 

IT Infrastructure

Coordinated a data centre assessment initiative that included refurbishment, vendor co-location and an RFP for an outsourced option. Detailed financial analysis and presentations of options and recommendations were prepared for senior management and the Board. Implemented mainframe, Intel and Unix infrastructure upgrades and enhancements. Coordinated a complete re-organization of data centre floor space

Program Management

Program manager for Year 2000 remediation responsible for the Global Finance business unit of a major bank/brokerage. Solutions to address over 100 systems in Canada, New York, London, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Australia were developed and delivered
